Rosie's paintings are concerned with expressing complex states of mind through visual metaphor.

She constructs images through playing with the boundaries and relationships between 2D and 3D states using various processes before completing ideas as paintings which have been described as ‘a discord between a conscious and unconscious self’.

She creates canvas and collage based pieces that explore notions of femininity, hypnagogic reality and semantic interactions between visual elements.

Rosie has been a practicing artist for over ten years, exhibiting in Glasgow, London, Liverpool, Canada, Barcelona and Carlisle. She has been actively involved in the national initiative The Big Draw and has an ongoing role in promoting and helping deliver the C>Art Open Studio event, run by Eden Arts in Cumbria.
