This year marks the 21st anniversary of Carlisle’s longest established studio group West Walls Artists and in celebration of this event we are happy to announce a new Retrospective exhibition for December 2015.
Bringing together approximately 40 individuals who have been associated over the 21 years, we're producing an exhibition of brand new work to celebrate the story and highlight the studio’s role in the arts locally, regionally and internationally.
As individuals our artists have always offered quality and diversity, reflected through many art-forms; anything from the most exquisite drawings, pen or paint works to the most participatory practice - including spoken word, performance, sound and collaborative working.
"...Their work demonstrates the skill and versatility of these contemporary artists and shows what lies at the heart of West Walls; people who are committed to developing professionalism and want to make things happen here in our city- encouraging community participation and enjoyment."

February 2017 - In December 2015 like many areas of Carlisle the Old Fire Station was flooded. West Walls Artists had only just opened their 21 Year Retropsective at the OFS (a new arts and community space serving the city) but the exhibition was opened for only 24 hours.
However, the exhibition is now set to return and will reopen in February 2017 and we welcome you all to join us again.
